SWABI, Aug 2: A 10-member Chinese students delegation of the Beijing University visited the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology on Monday.

Prof Mohammad Rafique Tahir, chief coordinator training, at the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), coordinated the tour programme. Mr Tahir accompanied the delegation, which was led by Prof Kong Ju Lan who had received her education in Pakistan.

The delegation had already visited the Punjab University, National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad, and Peshawar University. A detail briefing about the GIK institute's academic activities, research laboratories and other disciplines was given to the students by the controller of examinations, Dr Amir Azam Khan.

The Deans of five faculties and Rector of the GIK institute Prof Dr Mohammad Naseer Khan also attended the briefing. Ms Kong Ju Lan and other members of the delegation visited its laboratories, various faculties, hostels and other available facilities in the institute.
