KARACHI, Aug 2: Body of a young man was found in Daryabad near Niazi Chowk, Lyari, on Monday. The body with multiple bullet wounds seemed to be thrown from a moving vehicle, police suspected.

The police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination, following which it was sent to the Edhi morgue for identification.

KILLED: An elderly man was stabbed to death by unknown persons in Shorab Goth on Monday morning. Police said that Gul Mohammad suffered multiple wounds when unidentified persons barged into his house and attacked him while he was sleeping.

He was first taken to a private hospital, but was referred to the JPMC, where he was pronounced dead. Police suspected some personal enmity as a motive behind the killing.

WOUNDED: A man and a woman were wounded when robbers opened fire in a minibus during a hold up in Lyari on Monday. Police said that Amir Sultan and Rabia were wounded when the armed suspects restored to firing after passengers tried to resist a robbery bid. The suspects fled from the scene following the incident. The injured were taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment, the police added.

FIR: On the orders of the District and Sessions Court, East, the Sharea Faisal police on July 31 registered an FIR (296/2004) against Mohammad Suleman Bhatti and his son Zakaria Bhatti.

The two suspects, along with the Rangers and police personnel, had allegedly entered the house of the complainant, Abad Ali Ashraf. The complainant further alleged that the intruders, led by his former in laws, took away his household articles in an official vehicle. A police party also raided the suspects' house, but found it empty, an official of the Sharae Faisal police station said.
