ISLAMABAD, July 29: The US Embassy has announced a major change in its visa courier and visa appointment services, according to a US embassy press release issued here on Thursday.

The press release says as on Monday (Aug 2), American Express will now provide all US embassy visa application courier services, including accepting the US visa applications and arranging interview appointment dates.

Earlier, similar visa appointment and courier services were appointed by Gaerry's Federal Express. As the services contract with that company has expired, American Express will now provide the US visa appointment and courier services.

Applicants who have already paid the application fee at Gerry's Federal Express but not yet received a visa interview appointment should go to their nearest American Express courier service provider.

For more information on the US visa application process and a list of American Express courier location, please visit the US embassy website at: http://islamabad.usembassy.gov.

Another addition to the US embassy's visa operations is a new relation with the Standard Charter Bank, which will now be responsible for overall management of the US embassy's courier service and fee collection. -PPI
