QUETTA, July 28: The Anti-Narcotics Force and Frontier corps have in separate raids seized 4,289kg of hashish, impounded a truck and arrested three drug smugglers.

ANF sources on Wednesday claimed that in Rodband area near Mand in the Turbat district 600kg of hashish was seized from a truck during checking and the driver, Sohrab, besides two drug traffickers - Saleem and Zainul Abedin - were arrested.

The sources said that ANF personnel raided a house in the nearby village after the arrested persons confessed to have dumped the contraband. The officials seized 2,745kg of hashish from the house.

A statement released by the Frontier Corps on Wednesday said that Pishin scouts after a fire exchange with smugglers in Basit area near Chaman town seized 944kg of hashish which was loaded on donkeys. The smugglers escaped taking the advantage of darkness.
