Haj applications date extended

Published July 27, 2004

ISLAMABAD, July 26: Ministry of Religious Affairs on Monday extended the last date for submission of Haj applications under the government and private schemes up to August 10.

This is done in view of the fact that a large number of Haj applicants have applied for computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) but Nadra has not yet issued CNICs to them. Nadra has also been asked to expedite such cases.

The applications can now submit their Haj applications in banks (under government schemes) and with Haj Group Organizers (under private scheme) up to August 10. No further extension will be allowed, the ministry's press release said. -APP
