QUETTA, July 21: Quetta Anti-Terrorist Court Judge Shaukat Rakshani on Wednesday granted a one-week remand to police of Akhtar Khan and Karim Shah, accused of being involved in the Sunday bomb attack on MMA provincial chief Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani in Qila Saifullah area.

The police produced the accused in the court on Wednesday and the court accepted the remand request. Maulana Sherani and other party members survived the attempt on their lives when a roadside bomb exploded, causing damage to their vehicle.

The Levies had caught Akhtar Khan and Karim Shah from a nearby mountain and claimed to have recovered a remote control from them.
