Drawback on sport goods lowered

ISLAMABAD, July 20: The Central Board of Revenue has revised downward rates of duty drawback on export of sport goods. The new rates of duty drawback will be applicable on exports of goods from July 20, 2004 , said a customs notification issued here on Tuesday.

The rates of duty drawback will be 1.40 per cent of the fob value on export of mini or miniature boxing gloves with or without key chains used a decoration pieces for promotional purposes (all sizes); 3.74 per cent of the fob value on boxing gloves and others, including hockey, football, goalkeepers, driving and ski gloves, all sizes and other artificial leather (rexine) made-ups; 5.88 per cent of the fob value on footballs, complete football panel kits (unstitched), indoor balls, soccer balls, volley balls, medicine balls, hand balls, punching balls, water polo balls, rugby balls, basket balls, KORB balls, mini footballs, mini rugby balls, all sorts of mini balls, jumbo footballs made from artificial leather with synthetic cloth or cotton cloth with either rubber latex bladders or butyl bladders (all sizes).

The rate will be 5.72 per cent of the fob value on footballs, indoor balls, soccer balls, volley balls, medicine balls, hand balls, punching balls, water polo balls, rugby balls, basket balls, KORB balls, mini footballs, mini volley balls, mini rugby balls, mini basket balls, all sort of mini balls, jumbo footballs made from artificial leather with synthetic cloth or cotton cloth without bladders (all sizes).

The rate will be 1.17 per cent of the fob value on footballs, complete footballs panel kits (unstitched), indoor balls, soccer balls, volley balls, medicine balls, hand balls, punching balls, water polo balls, rugby balls, basket balls, KORB balls, mini footballs, mini volley balls, mini rugby balls, mini basket balls, all sort of mini balls, jumbo footballs made from artificial leather imported duty free with synthetic cloth or cotton cloth with either rubber or butyl bladders without bladders (all sizes).

The rate will be one per cent of the fob value on footballs, indoor balls, soccer balls, volley balls, medicine balls, hand balls, punching balls, water polo balls, rugby balls, basket balls, KORB balls, mini footballs, mini volley balls, mini rugby balls, mini basket balls, all sort of mini balls, jumbo footballs made from artificial leather imported duty free with synthetic cloth or cotton cloth without bladders (all sizes).

And the rate will be 1.57 per cent of the fob value onrubber moulded balls or rubberized balls with or without synthetic cloth or yarn fitted with bladders.

The rates of duty drawback will be 1.08 per cent of the fob value on sporting seat sticks shooting sticks made of aluminium with leather padded seat; 1.14 per cent of the fob value on tennis rackets, squash rackets, paddle rackets and badminton rackets all sizes made of wood or cane; 1.11 per cent of the fob value on hockey sticks wooden (all sizes); 6.95 of the fob value on cricket bats (all sizes) with imported English willow cleft wood and cane; 0.26 per cent of the fob value on cricket bats (all sizes) with indigenous wood or with duty free import of English willow cleft wood and cane; 1.26 per cent of the fob value on latex rubber bladders; 4.44 per cent of fob value on rubber tennis balls; 1.07 per cent of the fob value on footballs, basket balls, hand balls, volley balls, medicine balls, punching balls, net balls, water-polo balls, rugby balls and soccer balls made of leather with either rubber latex bladders or butyl bladders, all sizes; 1.05 per cent of the fob value on footballs, basket balls, hand balls, volley balls, medicine balls, punching balls, net balls, water-polo balls, rugby balls and soccer balls made of leather without rubber latex bladder (all sizes).

The rates of duty draw back will be 2.44 per cent of the fob value on hurling balls made of artificial leather; 2.50 per cent of the fob value on hurling balls made of cowhide leather; 4.52 per cent of the fob value on unstitched/cut printed panels for footballs, soccer balls, handballs, volleyballs, ruby balls, mini balls with artificial leather (all sizes); and 3.89 per cent of the fob value on unstitched /cut un-printed panels for footballs, soccer balls, handballs, volleyballs, ruby balls, mini balls with artificial leather (all sizes).
