KARACHI, May 22: At least 23 vehicles — eleven cars and twelve motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen from different parts of the city on Wednesday.

Six cars were hijacked and five others were stolen, while four motorcycles were hijacked and eight others were stolen by bandits.

Police claimed the recovery of two cars and a motorcycle from different parts of the city on Wednesday.

KILLED: A middle-aged man was killed by unknown persons in Mehmoodabad, on Wednesday.

Police said that Yousuf Masih, aged 45, a junk dealer, was sitting at his shop in Azam Town when two unknown motorcycle riders opened fire and escaped.

The victim was rushed to the JPMC where he was pronounced dead by the medico-legal officer.

Police said that victim’s relatives took the body from the hospital without postmortem examination.
