KHAIRPUR, July 14: Two sons of Miran Sain, the late Sajjada Nasheen of the Ranipur shrine - Pir Bagan Shah and Pir Niaz Hussain Shah - have rejected the claim of Pir Abdul Qadir Shah Jilani regarding his installation as Sajjada Nasheen of the shrine.
Speaking at a press conference in Ranipur on Tuesday, they said that Ahmed Shah Ghazi had been installed as the Sajjada Nasheen by Miran Sain in his life but after the death of Ahmed Shah, it was their right.
They said that Bagan Shah would be installed as the Sajjada Nasheen after the Chehlum of Ahmed Shah on August 5. Abdul Qadir Shah was named as the Sajjada Nasheen in a meeting of Syeds in Ranipur on Monday night. Ahmed Shah died in a road accident near Mirzapur, Shikarpur district, on June 26.
FIR LODGED: Following a clash between two groups of over a land dispute in the Wahan area on Monday, Rahim Bux Otho has lodged an FIR with the Ranipur police against 18 rivals.
The complainant alleged that due to firing by the rival group, Mohammad Saleh and Allah Warayo, both Otho by caste, were injured. Dr Manzoor Memon, Lal Dino, Allahyar, Rafiq, Hakim, Makhan, Nazeer, Zahid, Imam Bukhsh, Waheed, Ghulam Sarwar and others were nominated as accused in the FIR.
Another complainant, Atta Mohammad Mahesar, resident of Lalo Kalhoro village, has lodged an FIR with the Babarloi police against Imdad, Hidayatullah, Amanullah, Gul Hassan, Habibullah and Ismail, all Kalhoro by caste, on Tuesday regarding a land dispute.
ROBBERY: Five unidentified persons looted passengers of a Sadiqabad-bound coach (LRO-6397) near Gambat on Monday night. When the coach crossed Gambat, five men travelling in it as passengers, took out their arms, removed driver Mohammad Ayub Channar from his seat and one armed man took driving seat.
The highwaymen deprived passengers of gold ornaments, watches, cash and other valuable items. The robbers left the coach on the National Highway in Essan Bhayo village near Babarloi and escaped. Coach cleaner Ghulam Nabi has lodged an FIR with the Babarloi police against five unknown armed men.
