KARACHI, May 22: The Pakistan Endocrine Society was recently launched by the endocrinologists (hormone specialists) of the country to raise awareness about hormone disorders, says a press release.

Besides diabetes mellitus, other hormone problems like Thyroid disorders, Cushing syndrome, acromegaly, short stature, infertility, menstrual problems, hirsutism, gynecomastia, ambiguous genitalia and other physical and sexual problems are quite prevalent in Pakistan, the press release adds.

Dr Naeem-ul-Haq and Dr Abdul Jabbar are respectively the president and general-secretary of the society.
