KHAIRPUR, July 2: An inquiry committee, headed by ASP city Javed Jiskani, will probe into a dispute between People's Party Parliamentarians MPA Nawab Wassan and Mallah clansmen over 16 acre land in Deh Kathoro.

Talking to newsmen on Friday, MPA Nawab Wassan said that the FIR registered by Mallah clansmen in this connection was false and fabricated. It might be mentioned that the Sorah police had registered an FIR under section 506/2, 337, 427 and 436 PPC on the complaint of Baksho Mallah against 15 people including the farm manager and tenant farmers of Mr Wassan.

It was stated in the FIR that the accused had set ablaze their straw huts and ran bulldozer over graves of children. It claimed that the accused had also occupied 16 acres land which they had taken on lease near Bakhsho Mallah village, Nara taluka.

WATER THEFT: Two separate cases of water theft were registered against 15 farmers in the district on Friday. Shoukat, an Abdaar of the irrigation department, lodged a case against 11 farmers of Toori village at the Gambat police station under the Irrigation Act.

He accused Ali Nawaz, Najam, Azizullah, Amanullah, Rehmatullah, Mohammad Azam, Gulab, Rahib, Nawab, Inayatullah and Nasrullah of illegally taking water from Toori Shakh.

The second case was lodged by Darogha Mohammad Hassan at the Faiz Gunj police station against Ghulam Qadir Shar, Abdul Jabbar Rajpar, Mahar Ratar and Mohammad Saleh on the charge of illegally taking water from the Ali Bahar Wah and water-courses of Bhango Minor.
