Dilawar leaves for Barcelona

ISLAMABAD, June 7: Syed Dilawar Abbas, president of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has left for Barcelona to attend the annual general meeting of the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

During the June 7-10 meeting, Dilawar is scheduled to meet the leadership of the ITF and the presidents of other national associations to discuss ideas for the promotion of tennis in Pakistan.

Dilawar is also due to discuss tennis development issues including Davis Cup, junior and veterans' events, women's tennis and commercial activities. He will also explore possibilities of holding workshops for coaches and officiating courses in Pakistan with help from ITF. Dilawar will seek ITF's technical as well as financial assistance in the construction of the PTF National Tennis Centre.
