KARACHI, May 26: A trussed up body of a young man having torture marks was found in Saeedabad early Wednesday morning. Police said the body of Muhammad Javed, 28, with torture marks all over it and bullet wounds in the head, was recovered from Sector D-3, Saeedabad.

Police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police said the victim had left his Baldia Town residence on Tuesday night to attend a marriage ceremony, however, he did not return.

Police said the victim was tortured using hot iron rods by his killers. Quoting the victim's family, the police said Muhammad Javed had no political background nor was he an activist of any party.

KILLED: A brother shot dead his sister and wounded her boyfriend in Bahadurabad on Wednesday night. Police said that Mehnaz and her boyfriend were shot at by the girl's brother, Asif in Darvash Colony, Bahadurabad.

Both the wounded were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where Mehnaz died shortly upon arrival, while her boyfriend, whose name could not be confirmed, was admitted for treatment.
