HYDERABAD, May 26: Activists of different social welfare organizations on here Wednesday came out on the roads to protest against the death of over one dozen people from polluted water supplied by government agencies.

Under the banner of Hyderabad Development Forum, workers of Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Mallah Tanzeem, Sindh Rural Development Council, Mehran Falahi Sangat, Young Welfare Association, Qasimabad Shehri Ittehad, Solangi Social Ittehad and other organizations staged a protest demonstrations outside the district council and then marched upto the local press club.

Speaking on the occasion, HDF leader Ghulam Mohammad demanded that a case should be registered against officials responsible for the supply of poisonous water to the people.

STP Mallah Tanzeem chairman Aarib Mallah said that the water of Manchhar had become poisonous and fishermen and people of the area were forced to drink this water.
