LAHORE, May 25: The summer session of the Punjab Assembly is beginning from Wednesday with opposition intentions to agitate the deportation of Shahbaz Sharif and arrest of its activists.

The government too has made arrangements to handle the protest, if any, particularly outside the assembly. The government intends to introduce five bills - the Punjab Destitute and Neglected Children Bill, the Institute of Punjabi Language and Culture Bill, the Punjab Social Services Board (Amendment) Bill, the Punjab Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill and the New Murree Development Authority (Amendment) Bill.

The government will also lay the Forman Christian College Lahore Ordinance promulgated by Governor Khalid Maqbool for a debate. The Punjab Education Bill, 2003, will also be tabled for adoption.

Before the session, the treasury and the opposition will hold their parliamentary party meetings to finalize a strategy for the session. The Business Advisory Committee will also meet in the morning under Speaker Afzal Sahi.
