PESHAWAR, May 13: The city police have registered two separate FIRs against a union council nazim and councillor on the charges of attesting three forms of National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) for Afghan nationals, sources said here on Thursday.

The Nadra chief had requested through a letter to the city police to arrest Union Council Dheri Baghbanan Nazim Kifayatullah Orakzai for attesting the form of an Afghan national Zabihullah son of Quaid Khan.

The Nadra also asked the police for the registration of an FIR against Landi Arbab councillor Mumtaz Khan for attesting the forms of two Afghan nationals, Rehmat Bibi, wife of Hazrat Shah and her son Abdul Aziz.

However, the ringleader Haji Gul disappeared before the police raid. Those arrested included Shad Mohammad son of Taj Mohammad; Rasool Khan son of Mumtaz Khan; Amjad son of Habibullah; Nasir son of Awas Khan and Mumtaz son of Suleman Shah.
