KARACHI, May 13: Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ibad here on Thursday urged the Sindh Industrial Trading Estate to provide quality infrastructure and services to the industrial estates.

He was speaking at the balloting ceremony held for allotment of 139 industrial plots for which 5,000 applications were received. The governor asked the SITE Limited to arrange plots for different phases.

He said that new industries would contribute to economic growth of the country and also provide job opportunities in the province. He assured his full cooperation at every stage.

Congratulating the recipients of plots, he desired them to start their work as soon as possible. Appreciating the efforts of Sindh minister for labour, Mohammad Adil Siddiqui, he said due to his endeavour allotment process had been completed in the targeted time.

Earlier, the minister said that such a large number of applicants for industrial plots itself was a proof that industrialists have full confidence in present government and they feel that atmosphere had become conducive for industrial development.

He appreciated the cooperation of the SITE association, especially its chairman Nisar Shaikhani for cooperation at all the stages of allotment. Federal minister for communication and works Babar Ghouri asked the industrialists to compete in production with other countries. He also offered his cooperation in the development activities of the province.

MD of SITE Limited, presenting a brief about allotment process, informed that the balloting was arranged with the cooperation of National Bank of Pakistan to make the process transparent.

He further said that the SITE Limited has been progressing not only its development schemes, but financially also under the dynamic leadership of Sindh governor Ishratul Ibad, and active support of the Sindh minister for labour, transport, industries and commerce, Mohammad Adil Siddiqui. -PPI
