LAHORE, May 6: Three prominent Indian cricketing personalities have refused to attend an 'International Cricket Development' seminar to be held in Lahore on May 9 and 10.

Former skipper, Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri had informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of their non-availibility while Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Jagmohan Dalmiya has not yet confirmed his participation.

Gavaskar and Shastri cited personal reasons for not attending the seminar. Mr Dalmiya and Gavaskar did not visit Pakistan during the Test and ODIs series between the two countries despite special invitations.

The reluctance of the Indians might be due to selection of Pakistan as hosts of the seminar as BCCI had a strong desire to hold it but ICC awarded it to Pakistan.

Meanwhile Mohammad Ali Asghar, the Asian Cricket Council and Bangladesh Cricket Board president arrived on Thursday. ICC president Ehsan Mani and chief executive Malcolm Speed will reach here on Saturday. Delegates from 25 countries are scheduled to take part in the two-day seminar.
