PESHAWAR, May 6: The annual elections of Peshawar High Court Bar Association will be held on May 22, an official of the Bar said here on Thursday.

Member of the NWFP Bar Council Qaiser Rashid Khan has been appointed as the election commissioner for the polls while other members of the Bar's election commission are Roohul Amin, Syed Attique Shah, Parveen Akhter and Saadullah Khan Marwat.

According to the schedule announced by Qaiser Rashid, May 12 is last date for filing of nomination papers while May 14 has been fixed as last date for the scrutiny of nomination papers.

Last date for withdrawal of nomination papers would be May 17 and the final list of candidates would be displayed on May 19. Candidates have been asked to deposit their nomination fee before May 12, failing which their nomination papers would be rejected. Safeerullah Khan is the serving president of the association.
