PESHAWAR, May 4: The city police with the help of political administration of Orakzai Agency on Tuesday recovered a three-year-old boy kidnapped last week from Sheikhabad locality and arrested the accused woman.

Osama, son of Behramand, was kidnapped allegedly by Kabal Jana on April 27 and brought him to Orakzai tribal region, said an official statement. She was demanding a huge amount as ransom for the release of Osama by telephone from his father Behramand.

But Behramand informed the police about the phone calls which traced the public call office in Hangu town from where the accused had made many calls for ransom. The Peshawar police got the help of Hangu police and political administration of Orakzai Agency and arrested Kabal Jana and recovered Osama.

In an another incident the city police recovered fake Pakistani currency and arrested two accused from different localities. Gulbahar police team arrested Barkat Ali, son of Nawab Din, a resident of Lahori Gate in Multan, from the general bus stand and recovered 19 fake Pakistani currency notes of Rs500 denomination, 30 notes of Rs100 denomination and 468 notes of Rs10 denomination.

While, Hayatabad police from Jamrud checkpoint arrested an Afghan, Shah Agha, son of Aslam, a resident of Paktia, and recovered 97 fake currency notes of Rs100 denomination.

STOLEN CAR: The East-Cantt police station have failed to find any clue to a car (Peshawar-0333) stolen from outside a hotel two weeks ago.
