HYDERABAD, April 22: Corps Commander Lt-Gen Ahsan Saleem Hyat has said that officers and troops should keep themselves abreast with the rapid developments in the field of weapons and military equipment , besides studying the conceptual changes in the prevailing environment having direct impact on the national security.

Gen Ahsan was informally speaking with officers and troops during a visit to the field area of Hyderabad on Thursday, says an Inter Services Public Relations press release issued here on Thursday. On his arrival at the Hyderabad Cantonment, the corps commander was received by General Officer Commanding Maj-Gen Tariq Masood.

He visited the Divisional Battle School and the Anti-Terrorist Training Complex and witnessed specialized skills/ anti-terrorist demonstrations and attended an anti-tank (Baktar Shikan) day simulator trials. The corps commander also visited the Khipro Field Firing Ranges and saw a live firing display by infantry troops with simulated battle conditions.
