Gas pipeline repaired, says SSGC

KARACHI, April 21: The Indus Right Bank (IRB) gas pipeline, which which was damaged on Monday, has been repaired and the normal supply of gas has been now restored, says a press release of the Sui Southren Gas Company issued here on Wednesday.

"The repair was completed on Tuesday night and full pressure was achieved by 7am on April 21," the press release further said. Another press release of the SSGC said that gas supply had not been affected to any franchise area of the SSGC because of the damage to the IRB line on April 19.

The damaged pipeline was carrying gas to Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL) system and was not supplying gas to the cities mentioned in a report published in the April 21 issue of Dawn, the press release further clarified.
