KARACHI, April 19: Six more members spoke on the killing of MPA Abdullah Murad when the Sindh Assembly resumed the discussion on the opposition's adjournment motion on Monday. The discussion is expected to conclude on Thursday when a draft bill on the Dow Medical University would be tabled in the house.

In today's session, Mohammed Yunus Khan of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement, and Saifullah Dharejo, Marvi Mazhar and Syed Qaim Ali Shah of PPP, besides Minister for Law Chaudhary Iftekhar Hussain took part. The minister said that Abdullah Murad had always played a positive role in the business of the house. "We all are grieved on his death," he added.

He informed the house the killing had taken place near the MPA's house and police had registered a report same day at 1:10pm. He said that the killers' sketches, produced with the help of witnesses, had been released and appeared in newspapers. The government, he pointed out, had announced a reward of one million rupees on the culprits' arrest.

The minister was of the view that the matter should not be politicized as this could help the culprits escape punishment. He called for assistance from all quarters so that the investigation into the killing was put in right direction. -APP
