India to hold trade expo in Lahore

LAHORE, April 16: The chairman of the Confederation of the Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce & Industry (CACCI) K. K Modi on Friday said that the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry would hold "Made-in India Exhibition" here in September.

"This exhibition is a follow-up of the Made-in Pakistan Exhibition held in New Delhi in December last," he said while addressing the executive committee members of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) here.

Mr Modi who was heading 15-member delegation of the Indian businessmen said the two governments should make atmosphere conducive for solving all the political issues and removing hurdles impeding bilateral trade.

Talking about the CACCI, he said that the aim of this organization was to promote economic cooperation amongst states of the Asia Pacific. He invited the LCCI members to 68th Council meeting of the CACCI being held in Cambodia on May 18-19 and Business Congress to be held in New Delhi in December. -APP
