HYDERABAD, April 15: Leaders of the Sindh National Party have said that they will file a petition in the Sindh High Court against the Sindh governor, the chief minister , the chief secretary and officials of the home and police departments for their failure to end tribal feuds in Sindh.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Wednesday, SNP chairman Ameer Bhambhro, Rasheed Magsi, Wahid Bux Sangrasi, Ashraf Noonari and Akhtar Khoso condemned the killing of Sindhis at the hands of Sindhis at the instigation of establishment, agencies, feudal lords, spiritual leaders and tribal chieftains.

They warned that if tribal conflicts were not stopped within 15 days, the SNP would launch a protest movement and file direct FIRs against the authorities for the murders that had been committed during the tribal confrontations.

They said the bloodshed due to tribal conflicts had attained alarming proportions due to the indifferent attitude of the rulers. The SNF leaders claimed that during the last five years, 3,000 people had lost their lives due to tribal clashes and thousands of women had become widows.

They said murders, robberies, incidents of Karo-kari, criminal assaults and kidnappings had become the order of the day in Sindh. They quoted many examples of such incidents in Shikarpur, Mirpur Mathelo, Sehwan and Naushahro Feroze.
