Chanderpaul back for ODIs

ST JOHN'S, April 13: West Indies have recalled Shivnarine Chanderpaul for the first three games of their seven-match one-day series against England beginning in Guyana on Sunday.

Chanderpaul, dropped from the fourth and final Test in Antigua after showing signs of fatigue, was named in a 14-man party while Mervyn Dillon, a veteran of 98 One-day Internationals, also returns.

There was no place in Brian Lara's squad, however, for fast bowlers Tino Best or Fidel Edwards, who both impressed in the Tests. Opening batsman Devon Smith has been ruled out of the first match with a broken thumb.

Trinidad and Tobago all-rounder Dwayne Bravo gets the chance to claim his first cap.
