Balochistan jolted

QUETTA, March 30: Several areas of Balochistan, including Quetta, were jolted when a mild earthquake struck the Harnai tehsil of Sibbi district on Tuesday night.

However, no immediate report of any casualty or property damage was received from any part of the province. Met office said the intensity of the earthquake, which struck at 8.30pm, was recorded at 4.8 on the Richter scale.

Tremors were felt in Quetta, Sibbi, Harnai, Much, Dhadar, Kolpur and other adjoining areas. The epicentre of the quake was located some 155km north-east of Quetta in Harnai area of the Suleman range.
