Jhagra to meet Ashraf

LAHORE, March 29: ARD Secretary-General Iqbal Zafar Jhagra is meeting PPP-Parliamentarians Secretary-General Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in Islamabad on Tuesday (today) to discuss whether the ARD leaders should postpone their visit to Wana, scheduled for March 31.

It is said that some ARD leaders think that if the government has called off military operation, the alliance should also reciprocate so that the government doesn't get an opportunity to allege that the opposition alliance is out on a point scoring exercise.

However, they think that the situation should be monitored very carefully and a fresh date for the visit be set, if at all necessary. Alliance sources say that it will become clear on Tuesday whether the ARD visit is to take place as scheduled or it has to be postponed for some time.
