KARACHI, March 26: Miscreants lobbed a bottle containing chemicals into a catholic church in Paposh Nagar on Friday morning, a high-ranking police official said.

He said that the bottle left a large crater in the Dominican Catholic Church, adding that nobody was wounded in the attack. Later, the Paposh Nagar police registered an FIR (129/04) against unknown persons.

FIRE: A fire broke out on the 11th floor of Al Raheem Tower on I.I. Chundrigar Road, fire brigade officials said. They said a short circuit was responsible for the outbreak of the fire, which was extinguished in time. They added that nobody was hurt in the incident.

ACCIDENT: Forty-one-year-old Saleh Mohammad was crushed to death by a speeding minibus F-21 on Friday, the police said. Saleh used to work at a roadside sugarcane juice shop in Haidery, they added.
