ISLAMABAD, March 16: The Shia Ulema Council will stage a country-wide protest on March 20 to protest against implicating the Millat-i-Jafaria leader, Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi, in a false case, Allama Tariq Naqvi said.

He was speaking at the 'Labaik Ya Hussain Conference', which was attended by ulema and thousands of supporters from all over the country.

Allama Taqi Naqvi said on March 20, people belonging to the Shia community would set up protest camps at district and tehsil levels, adding it would be followed by a country-wide protest day, which would be observed on April 9 and a protest rally on May 6 in Islamabad.

Participants of the conference condemned the move to implicate Allama Sajid Naqvi in a false and baseless case, saying it amounted to pushing the Shia community to the wall.
