KARACHI, March 16: The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has called for an all parties conference for evolving a joint strategy to resist the alleged victimisation of political opponents by the government. It has proposed Sunday, March 21 for the event.

A spokesman for the PPP said the APC would be held at the People's Secretariat for which invitations to the provincial leadership of the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) and component parties of the MMA had been sent.

Representatives of ANP, Mohajir Qaumi Movement, Awami Tehrik, PPI (Sarwar Awan group), Sunni Tehrik, Jafria Alliance and representatives of Bar Council, NGOs and human rights organizations have also been invited.
