KHAIRPUR, March 11: People's Party Parliamentarians MNA Manzoor Wassan has said that the murder of Abdullah Murad Baloch in Karachi and registration of cases against MPA Nawab Wassan and other 250 workers at the Kot Diji police station were aimed at to harass the opposition activists.

Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, Mr Wassan said the PPP was target of political victimization in Sindh. He said the murder of Abdullah Murad indicated a failure of the Sindh government.

Mr Wassan said police officials who had registered a false case against the MPA and 250 activists of the party would stand accountable for their acts. He said the people of Sindh were compelled to protest due to increasing excesses and deteriorating law and order.

HOSPITALIZED: Folk vocalist, Sohrab Faqir, who is affiliated with the shrine of Khush Khir Mohammad Hisbani was admitted to the Gambat Taluka hospital following a heart attack on Wednesday. The doctors referred him to the Khairpur civil hospital where he has been admitted to the cardiology ward.
