KARACHI, March 5: Interviews of the successful candidates of written tests for lectureship, held in December last, would commence on March 15, simultaneously at three centres in the province, a senior education official said.

The candidates would be interviewed by five special committees, each comprising one member of the Sindh Public Service Commission, a senior official of Sindh Education department, and a subject expert with an advisory status.

Sindh Additional Secretary (Higher Education) Karim Bux Sirohi told Dawn on Wednesday that the five committees would conduct viva voce examination of about 3,400 candidates, at three different centres on rotational basis. The interviews would be held at Karachi, Sukkur and Hyderabad.

Mr Sirohi said that after finalizing the schedule of interviews, the call letters for the candidates, who would be interviewed in Mach, were being issued to them by post, mentioning the date, place and time of the interview. The interviews, commencing on March 15 and likely to be completed by the end of April, would be held in two shifts, he added.

The written test of candidates in question for 753 ad hoc lecturer's jobs was held on Dec 14, last year, while the results were released on Jan 30 and put on display at the offices of executive district officers (education) concerned later.
