KARACHI: Boy, girl die in accidents

KARACHI, Feb 27: Three persons died in accidents in different parts of the city on Friday. Police said that in a hit-and-run accident a young girl died. Her body was found on the Super Highway link road leading to Afghan Chowki.

Shorab Goth police station SHO said that the girl was in her late teens. Her body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. In another accident in the same police limits, a young boy died in a hit-and-run accident behind Al-Asif Square.

The police said that Habibullah, 18, who worked in a nearby workshop, was hit by an unidentified vehicle while crossing a road. He was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The errant vehicle escaped from the spot. A young man was crushed to death beneath a locomotive near the City Railway station. The victim, Naeem Anjum, 25, was crossing over the tracks when he was hit.
