DOHA, Feb 25: Qatar has agreed to relax visa restrictions on Pakistanis enabling them to contribute towards Qatar's progress and development. The decision follows a meeting of Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri who called here on Amir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

They reviewed bilateral relations and decided to take a number of steps to improve ties between the two countries. It was agreed to hold the meeting of the joint ministerial committee at an early date.

Mr Kasuri also handed over a written message of the president of Pakistan to the amir. Mr Kasuri also met First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Ali-Thani. -APP
