FAISALABAD, Feb 17: A father of five on Tuesday committed suicide to protest against the indifferent attitude of Mamukanjan police.

Reports said lumbardar Mohabat Khan and his around a dozen accomplices attacked the house of farmer Noshair Ahmad in Chak 506 GB of Mamukanjan over some matrimonial dispute and injured his some family members.

Noshair's wife Bakhat Bibi lodged a complaint with the Mamukanjan police but no case was registered against the accused. This disappointed Noshair who ended his life by throwing himself before a passenger train.

ASI Nasir Husain of Mamukanjan police rejected the claim of the family. He said they neither received any application nor the house of Noshair was attacked. The ASI claimed that Noshair committed suicide over some matrimonial dispute with his family.
