Imran hits blistering century

LAHORE, Feb 15: Former Test opener Imran Nazir struck a whirlwind unbeaten century to help Sialkot crush Multan by nine wickets in the Quaid-i-Azam One-day Cup at Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Imran blasted 18 fours and five sixes on his way to 123 off just 59 deliveries as Sialkot made short work of their target of 174 in 21.4 overs. Imran and skipper Shoaib Malik shared a partnership of 123 for the first wicket before the Pakistan all-rounder was out for 23.

Earlier, left-arm paceman Zahid Saeed (4-31) and slow left-armer Abdul Rehman (3-39) helped bundle out Multan for 173 in 44.4 overs.
