PESHAWAR, Feb 13: An MMA leader has accused the alliance's acting chief of distributing Zakat fund among his relatives and activists of the Jamaat-i-Islami.

Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal's leader MNA Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani said in a statement issued in Nowshera on Thursday. Criticizing chief of the Jamaat-i-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmad and JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, he accused both leaders of making compromise on the Legal Framework Order.

He said the MMA leaders had given precedence to LFO over the Shariat Bill in the Parliament, while the people had voted for the alliance in the name of Islam.
