Pilgrims not missing, says ministry

Published February 12, 2004

ISLAMABAD, Feb 11: A spokesman of the religious affairs ministry has contradicted a news item in a section of the press that 790 Pakistani Hajis are missing in Saudi Arabia.

The spokesman said only 15 Hajis had earlier been reported missing but subsequently they were traced out by the mobile teams of the Pakistan's directorate-general of Haj in Makkah Mukarrama. As such, there was no missing pilgrim now, he added. -APP
