KARACHI, Feb 8: Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation, Rauf Siddique, has urged overseas Pakistanis to abide by the laws of their host countries. Lack of awareness among some Pakistanis about the immigration laws was leading to serious problems, risking future of their own and that of Pakistan, he said while speaking at a seminar on "Immigration in the United Kingdom" here on Saturday evening.

He said that some overseas Pakistanis were irresponsible and violating the rules there. "We should turn over a new leaf and rise as a responsible and progressive nation among the comity of nations. We should be proud of being Pakistanis and must not indulge in any activity leading to disrepute for our country," he said.

The minister also criticized the Pakistan's missions abroad, who have failed to play their due role in providing the required guidance and assistance to overseas Pakistanis. -APP
