Same squad for Lahore

LAHORE, Feb 6: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in another u-turn reversed its earlier decision of holding fresh trials and has now decided to retain the same 20-member Lahore Region team which was announced by the defunct Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) last month for the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy.

The team to be led by Pakistan middle-order batsman Yousuf Youhana will report to Shahid Aslam at the National Cricket Academy on Saturday at 12hours.

PCB's earlier decision was based on an objection raised by LCCA, claiming since the PCA had been dissolved, therefore, it was LCCA's right to select the team.

Squad: Yousuf Youhana, Waqar Younis, Taufiq Umar, Salman Butt, Saleem Elahi, Abdul Razzaq, Kamran Akmal (wicketkeeper), Saqlain Mushtaq, Imran Farhat, Adil Nisar, Rizwan Ahmed, Wasim Khan, Mohammad Khalil, Imran Sabir, Irfan Fazil, Aizaz Cheema, Azhar Ali, Khaqan Arsal Raja, Masood Asim and Mohammad Hussain or Raza Ali Dar (subject to fitness).
