ABBOTTABAD, Feb 6: Shortage of foodstuff in various areas in Galyat has become a major problem for the people, as the roads remain closed due to a heavy snowfall last month.

Due to the closure of roads, the business has also slumped as the tourists kept away from Galyat. Galyat Hotels and Restaurants Association, on Friday criticized the authorities concerned for delay in clearing snow from the roads and said that the hoteliers business was suffering losses due to roads' closure.

Sardar Ali Asghar, chief organizer of Galyat Hotels and Restaurants Association, in a press release has demanded immediate clearance of the main as well as link roads in Galyat.

SNOW REMOVAL WORK: Local Government Minister Sardar Mohammad Idrees has rushed from Peshawar to Changa Gali, Nathia Gali and Taj Wal to supervise the removal of snow from the roads, which has claimed five lives, adds PPI.

Mr Idrees would stay in Galiat till the completion of the work. The minister expressed sorrow over the death of five people. He said that he would talk to the chief minister to announce compensation for victims' families.
