KARACHI, Feb 1: Unlike the previous governments, which ignored the areas of Landhi and Korangi, the present government is committed to resolve the problems faced by the people of these areas , provincial advisers, Wasim Akhter and Faisal Malik, pledged at an open kutchery held in Korangi-II on Sunday.

Parliament members, Nawab Mirza Advocate, Syed Talib Imam, Syed Jarar Hyder, besides TMO, TPO, officers of the Karachi Electricity Supply Corporation, Water Board and Sui Southern Gas Company, were present on the occasion.

The area people informed the advisers of their problems, including those pertaining to sewerage system, power supply, loadshedding and dilapidated roads.Officers concerned were asked about the reasons for these problems at the Kutchery and were directed to resolve the same.

On complaints of lawlessness, town police officer was ordered to curb incidents of thefts, dacoities, vandalism and sale of drugs. Mr Akhter said the number of problems in Korangi exceeded the resources, however, he vowed to strive for resolving these problems.-PPI
