PESHAWAR, Feb 1: Members of the standing committee of the NWFP Assembly on health visited the Khyber Teaching Hospital here the other day. The committee is headed by MPA Dr Mohammad Saleem.

The chief executive of the KTH, Prof Changez Hakeem Khan, briefed the visiting delegation about the hospital's performance, discussing vital issues and suggesting ways and means to improve the hospital's healthcare delivery system.

He urged legislators for their continued support in resolving problems being faced by the hospital. The committee's chairman and members assured of their support in this regard, saying they would especially help solve problems in connection with provision of free medical treatment to the poor and free emergency service.-APP
