ISLAMABAD, Jan 28: A Malaysian diplomat and his family were injured in a road accident on late Wednesday, police sources told Dawn. The counsellor of the Malaysian High Commission Fazuibin Omer, 40; Mrs Fazui, 30; his son Faridzul Fazui, 15, and daughter Azeemai Fazui, 2, received injuries when their car (CD-42-21) overturned and on Margalla Road, in the jurisdiction of the Kohsar police station.

Mr Omer, told the police that he was on his way along with his family to Al-Shifa Hospital for treatment of his daughter, Azeemai, when they met with the accident.

They were taken to the Federal Government Services Hospital (FGSH) by Rescue 15 personnel. The FGSH doctors said that the condition of the counsellor's son is critical while the others are stable.

WOMAN KILLED: Meanwhile, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a tractor in the jurisdiction of Sihala police station on Wednesday, police said. The deceased, identified as Farooq Sultana, 35, was killed when a tractor hit her while she was crossing the road, police said. She was taken to the FGSH but she died of her injuries before reaching the hospital, the doctor said.
