PESHAWAR, Jan 26: Wapda authorities Monday arranged a day-long safety seminar in Dera Ismail Khan in order to apprise the employees about the safety measures while performing their professional duties on high power transmission lines.

The seminar was organised on the directives of Chief Engineer Samar Qand Khan. The seminar was addressed, among others, by Shah Nawaz Khan Kundi and XEN Pesco, D.I.Khan, Mohammad Sadiq.

They impressed upon the employees working on transmission lines to abide by the safety rules while discharging their professional duties. Linemen are the great assets and their lives could not be put in danger. They urged them to go strictly by the safety measures as a minor mistake could risk their lives. They said high standard equipments have been provided to the sub-divisions of Wapda, therefore, linemen should not go without these safety equipment.-APP
