Published January 26, 2004

LONDON, Jan 25: Pakistan's High Commission here has started emergency visa service on Saturdays and Sundays to facilitate the expatriates who have to travel to their country in case of an emergency.

Sources said an officer and a staff member would remain available at the high commission on every Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 4pm to provide emergency visa service without any additional charges.

Those seeking emergency visas should bring confirmed air tickets, the requisite documents and filled forms, they said. The high commission has also worked out a plan to issue visas and passports on the spot to Pakistanis at places of their concentration outside London.-APP
