ISLAMABAD, Jan 23: All Pakistan Alliance of Kutchi Abadis held a protest demonstration on Friday in Muslim Colony Bari Imam which was participated by hundreds of people, says a press release of People's Rights Movement (PRM).

The protesters criticized the CDA for carrying out the resettlement process in a poor manner which had deprived many deserving people of their basic rights. They said the CDA had only allotted a little over 1,100 plots to the residents of Muslim Colony despite the fact that there were 1,600 people living in the colony.

Over the past few months, the CDA has been evicting people from their homes in Muslim Colony, and this process is likely to continue despite the fact that the residents genuine demands have still not been met. The protesters also drew attention to the fact that no basic facilities like electricity, water and gas had been provided in Alipur Farash.
