KARACHI: Naat, Qirat contests

KARACHI, Jan 20: The inter-colleges competitions of Husn-i-Qirat and Naat were held at Government Abdullah Girls College for Women here on Tuesday.

In the Qirat contest, the first prize was won by Hafiz Nasimur Rehman of Jinnah College. Ms Rabia of Government Girls College was declared second while the third position went to Mohammad Danish of Government College, North Karachi. Mohammad Waqas of the Ship Owners College was given the special prize.

In the Naat contest, the first prize was won by Alia of Government Girls College, Block-M, North Nazimabad. The second and third prizes were won by Hina Durrani of Premier College Najmus Sahar of Sir Syed Girls College respectively. City Nazim Naimatullah Khan awarded the prizes to the winners. -APP
