Jamshed stuns Yousuf

KARACHI, Jan 19: Unseeded Muhammad Jamshed sprang a surprise in the Sindh Cup Snooker Championship when he shocked ninth seed Yousuf Haroon 4-3 to advance into the last-16 stage on Monday.

Yousuf was leading 3-2 at one stage but Jamshed took the last two frames to win. Kashif Khan booked his place in the last 16 but not before Jawad Ali grabbed the first and fifth frames.

Mirza Shadab Baig dropped just one frame in eliminating Faisal Iqbal 4-1. 12th seed Aamir Samdani was stretched to limits by Ahmed Bawany before cruising into the last-16
